History
A brief history of the Illinois Midland Railroad (one of many with this name):
The railroad was started in 1917, ran from Newark to Millington, IL, a distance
of 1.9 miles. At Millington, a connection was made with the CB&Q ( BN>BNSF).
The railroad's chief product was grain. The railroad was abandon in 1977 when
vandals burned the bridges.
The railroad was owned by : Newark Farmers Grain Co
